Batch No 36

Made batch 36 with Formula No.19 and added 3.5g blue iron oxide from Pifito

9:57am – No.19 with blue oxide just mixed and poured

Here are the Gel Shots

I put cellophane over the mold and cover it in a few towels to get to gel phase. One of my favorite things about making soap – GEL PHASE

1:04pm – Starting to gel, or finishing gel phase. I went out for an hour so I don’t exactly know lol. I did check it before I went out so I am pretty sure this is only the beginning
2:09pm – I think this is the end of the Gel phase
3:03 – Gelling slightly more
4:06pm – Almost completely Gelled
5:04pm even more gelled. I can’t wait to see the final color when i cut it in a few days
6:09 Gel phase is over I think
6:41am Day 2 – gelling is over for sure. Now to wait a day or 2 to de-mold and cut

Temperature Shots

10.46am – Still not gellin
1:05pm – Gel phase is pretty hot
2:09pm – temp dropping
3:03 – Cooler still
4:06pm – I would have thought the more it gelled the hotter it would get, seems to be the other way around

5:04 pretty cool now

6:41am Day 2 – Room temp now
Yeah I didn’t wait
