Formula No.13
I made this one in the summer/fall of 2022. I can’t take credit for it. I found it on one of the popular soap sites. I can’t remember which so I won’t guess and if they happen upon my site and tell me it’s theirs, I will happily give them full credit (I think it was soap queen from bramble berry)
I recently sent soap bars out to family and friends to reduce my inventory and get people to use natural soap. I have a few sisters in law that are into that sort of thing.
I got good reviews on formula 13. Truth be told I had never used it at that point. So I took my one remaining bar and used it in the shower. Its some good soap. Very moisterizing and gives the skin a good feel to it. Must be the shea butter. Its got the silky shea butter feel
So since it was my last bar, I made another batch and as i was typing this I remembered that I wanted to use these mini molds that would have been cool. They say 100% homemade or something like that. But I forgot and made a loaf.
So here we go…..

This oil weight makes a good-sized loaf that when trimmed down to fit the shrink wrap Idont waste a lot of soap. I bought the wrong size so I have to trim them to wrap them. Not only did I buy the wrong size but i bought 750 of them.
I will be using this weight and trimming them down for a while lol

If you are a beginner and hear the word traced tossed around a lot. The picture here is an example of a thick trace. For the second batch in a row, my soap came to trace really fast. Under a minute. Must be the atmosphere in my house messing things up lol

Gel watch
I just have to note here. Gelling is important to help colors pop more. I really just like to see it gel. I don’t use color often so if it doesn’t gel its not going to affect the result. I just think its really cool so I strive for it

Temp watch

Its a hot one to start out
