This was a weird weekend. Thing 2s last band weekend, so a lot of driving around and stuff. I went to the movies on Saturday and only had time to make 2 small batches
Batch 47
It was a really small batch. 130g of coconut oil, and that was it. Tring out a coconut oil only bar. They say that coconut oil is very cleansing in soap and because of that it is drying as well. On the recommendation of the innerwebs, I changed the superfat to 20%
Superfat is the amount of oils left it a bar after all the lye converts the oil to soap. Usually, the number is 5%.
After 2 days I took it out of the molds, and it was still a little tacky. The part exposed to air was dry, so a few days on the curing wraps will help I hope

Batch 48
Next, I made a 100% Lard bar. Not sure how that’s going to turn out, either. But the same only 120g of lard used. Only 5% superfat

Batch 49
On Sunday, more band stuff. Drive around and wait. I was able to make 2 batches in the morning
Batch 49 was a plain bar of formula No.19. I dont have a lot of those and my one repeate customer like plain bars. Also my wife started using the soap i make. Not only that she admitted thatbher skin was feeling a little softer after doing a 30 say challenge. What she was using was a blue batch of No.19. I wanted to make sure I had more on hand.

Batch 50
My daughter doesn’t use my soap. In an attempt to win her over, I tried to make a pink soap using pink iron oxide. It looks like Raspberry Sherbet. And that’s what i am calling it
